I can’t even begin to tell you what a perfect family trip we had at
your chalet. The first night there were 9 of us and the other 2 (my
oldest son and nephew) flew in the next day – they go to college and
had classes on Tuesday. We went on a snowmobile tour, attempted
skiing, dipped in the hot springs pool and shopped. We rented a
wheelchair for my mom so we could take her around town.
My mom wanted to be sure and let you know so you could tell Irene
that the bedroom rug for the main floor is under the bed. My sister
was afraid my mom would trip over the rugs in her room and kept
picking them up or moving them out of my mom’s path.
We got to meet Irene and Shawn and they were both so nice and
helpful.
I wasn’t sure if you had a picture of your home while it was
snowing, so I attached one – it is beautiful. I also put a picture
of my oldest son with my mom. We all looked forward to this trip for
months’ in advance, but especially my mom. She doesn’t really get
out much and this trip just really gave her something to focus on
and be excited about. One of the kitchen drinking glasses cracked
from the bottom and side. I thought I left it on the counter for
Irene to see, but it must have gotten thrown in the trash because
when we left it wasn’t there anymore. I will be happy to pay for
that just let me know how much.
We are telling everyone we know about your chalet and hoping to get
you some business from South Texas. Our family definitely wants to
make the trip back, we are just trying to figure out when is the
best time for everyone’s work and school schedules. I can’t even
express our appreciation on your discounted price to us this time
and the offer to enjoy it again. We were talking about possibly
trying to plan a trip for the 2nd or 3rd week in March 2013, if that
is a time when you can give us our discounted price. We understand
you can’t offer us that deal during your busy times.
God definitely put you in our path to bless us and we realize how
generous you are being with us. We hope and pray for good fortune,
health, happiness and contentment for you and your entire family.

Hello Debbie,
my name is Carol James and I am Vicki McElroy's mom. We arrived at
your beautiful home yesterday evening and were overwhelmed at how
absolutely awesome it was. It is rarely you rent something that is
even more beautiful in reality than it is in pictures but that is
surely the case here. Every detail of your home is exquisite, the
design, the furniture, the ice makers, the gorgeous master bedroom
suites, the living room and kitchen with panoramic views of the
mountains, skiers, gondolas, and snow is everywhere, I could go on
and on about your home and how wonderful it is, to us it is living
in luxury and we are appreciating every minute. Oh the basement is
incredible we watched the dancing with the stars finale down there
last night and then the guys played pool. Nine of us drove from
Denver yesterday and we were oohing and aahhing all the way. None of
us had ever seen a significant amount of snow and we really enjoyed
that beautiful ride. Our last two college boys came in today and the
others hid behind the trees and pelted them with snowballs when they
got out of the truck. I am sleeping on the main floor, three
bedrooms upstairs are in use with my daughters and their husbands
and my son-in-law and the five young people are sleeping in the
basement. A snowmobile trip has been planned for tomorrow but I will
stay back and enjoy this wonderful home and its views. Thank you so
much for renting us your home, We will take very good care of it I
promise you, I feel like I already know you from your communications
with Vicki.

Hi Debbie,
Again, thank you for the rental of your beautiful home. This was the
sixth year we have had this event; always in a different VRBO. This
was the first time, the group asked if we could try to get this
(your) home for next year. Everything was perfect.
Hopefully, Irene found things as they should of been. Please let me
know if there were any problems.
Thank you, and please let me know when the proper time is to start
talking about next year's reservation.

Dear Tim & Debra:
I‘ve wanted for some time to express our thoughts and appreciation
regarding your wonderful home on the upper mountain in Steamboat. In
picking your name, "Edelweiss Chalet", you could not have picked a
better name. Our group of family and friends, absolutely, had the
time of our lives enjoying the amenities & tranquility that this
home provides.
Steamboat Springs is, most definitely, our favorite Colorado
mountain town. But, for me personally, your home with your
magnificent Chefs gourmet kitchen was the “bomb”. It provided the
ability to create some wonderful meals during our stay. The size and
design of the kitchen proved to be an integral part of the creating
experience. Then, the fact that we had (2) of everything, utensils,
appliances, ice makers, etc. was great...
The size of the house allowed each individual the ability to find an
area where it was quiet & relaxing affording much needed time to
read, soul search, and for me personally, the opportunity to
continue with the writing of my book.
The downstairs game room is magnificent. We loved the theatre room,
pool table, and outside Jacuzzi. The favorite place, though, for all
was your wonderful back deck and the views it afforded us, as well
as, the wonderful sound of the breeze whistling through the trees
surrounding the deck with the smell of pine. We had no problem
finding every reason to eat out on this deck every day.
For us the decorations & design of the home really stood out and to
this day still remain fixed in our memories. Each of your 8 bedrooms
were designed specifically to have their own character & charm.
Finally, as to the nightly before dinner drink & conversation, the
sitting room with the full rocked wall fireplace could not have been
more soothing & appealing.
We will most definitely be looking forward to our next trip to
Steamboat Springs. When we do, most certainly, “Edelweiss Chalet”
will be our only choice.

Thank you for the invitation to create and entertain in your gourmet
kitchen. We had a "GREAT CHEF NIGHT" the other night and I am
looking forward to our last meal tomorrow night. Your kitchen was
great, spacious, and well equipped with the 6 burner Viking Gas
Stove, 3 separate sinks, 3 dishwashers, 3 ice machines, and 2 huge
refrigerators. We loved how BIG your plates are!!!

Dear Steamboat Homeowners,
Though my e-mail is tardy, I would like to thank you for the use of
your lovely home in Steamboat during the first week in August of
this year. It was the perfect home for the Colt family of
fifteen for a wonderful, relaxing week spent together in the
mountains.
Our family has gone to Steamboat for a week each August for TWELVE
YEARS, and this was our BEST TRIP EVER, THANKS TO YOU. As my
husband, Mack, and I arrived, we immediately saw the Scripture
passage which set the tone for our entire stay. As Christians,
we realized that we were staying in another believer's home which
was a real blessing.
Your QUALITY BUILT HOME especially impressed our home
builder/engineer son, and the house was planned and furnished to
accomodate a large number of people. With two of everything
imaginable (dishwashers, toasters, etc.), WE LACKED NOTHING. Each
family was able to have his/her own space, and the numerous living
areas were perfect for card games, pool playing, reading, visiting,
etc. Our family was impressed with the QUALITY OF FURNISHINGS,
and we treated your home as carefully as we would our
own.
I hope that we will be able to stay in your wonderful home again
when we visit Steamboat during the summer, please know that you
ministered to others by renting your home to us. We wish you
much happiness and success in the future.

Dear Debra,
The Webster family had an awesome Christmas in Steamboat Springs,
and the Edelweiss Chalet was 80% of the reason for our enjoyment of
all the mountain had to offer.
Our oldest daughter Julie sent an e-mail on January 6 that said,
"the third Webster family Christmas is now memories... there was
snow in just the right amount and quality to make all the outdoor
activities perfect. The house and amenities were everything we
could ask for as expected. The nice surprise was the
complement of electronics for the plugged in generation. ...
the showers hot (really key when you aren't used to three hours in
deep powder)."
I would like to elaborate: all of us thought the house was
tastefully and comfortably furnished. The down quilts, the
thick towels, the Bulgari toiletries, two coffee pots in the
kitchen, two dishwashers, the big windows in all the rooms with
scenic views of the slopes, the spa which was enjoyed by all, the
separate baths with each bedroom, the big game room downstairs;
everyone thought it was all just wonderful and beautiful. We
could all enjoy each other in one house just as we did years ago
when they were all growing up.
Walking to the lifts was great -- and all appreciated the ease of
that. The snow was deep and even the smallest grandchildren
improved their skiing while we were there. And everyone felt
like celebrities when Straight-To-You came right to the chalet with
our equipment.
All of us wished we could have stayed on -- it was just such a
perfect place and time and experience... happy memories for us to
remember over and over again. You should be very proud of the
warm and welcoming home that you have fashioned for people to enjoy!
We would be happy to recommend the Edelweiss Chalet to anyone.
